That is why we are thrilled to introduce Somfy’s new Quick Lock Drive Assembly, a patented, exclusive solution designed specifically to tackle the pain points of window shade manufacturers.

We looked at the traditional assembly process and saw the friction: manual screwing, handling tiny washers, the risk of losing parts, and the tedious, repetitive strain placed on operators. We knew there had to be a better way.

Here is how the Quick Lock Drive solution transforms your production:

  1. Improved Speed and Efficiency🕐 The difference is drastic. Traditional manual screwing takes anywhere from 25 to 50 seconds per unit. With our new Quick Drive assembly, the process drops to just 5 seconds. That makes the operation 10 times faster.
  2. Tool-Free Drive Integration🔨🚫 While screwdrivers are still staples on the assembly floor, they shouldn't be a requirement for seating your drive. By utilizing a captive C-ring, we’ve eliminated the need for tools at this critical junction. This removes the risk of "tool-drop" delays and ensures the drive shaft is locked and secure in seconds, not minutes.

Now you can swiftly seat the drive wheel in 3 simple steps:

  1. Step 1: Lift the C-ring
  2. Step 2: Insert the drive wheel
  3. Step 3: Rotate the C-ring to lock it. The C-ring tilts with a mere flick of a finger, securing the assembly instantly

Which motor family will receive the Quick Drive update? This evolution applies to our major motor families, including the Range 24, Range 28, and Range 30 series (WireFree, RTS, RS485, and WT). We have ensured compatibility continuity, meaning no changes to accessories are required and the impact on overall motor length is less than 2mm. Look for the "Quick Assembly" sticker on our new packaging.
